Role Overview.
Your responsibilities will include.
- Conducting functional behaviour assessments.
- Developing positive behaviour support plans.
- Training staff and carers in behaviour management strategies.
- Providing one-on-one support to children or adults.
- Evaluating and monitoring plan implementation.
- Addressing barriers to plan implementation.
- Monitoring the use of restrictive practices.
Selection Criteria.
- Studying towards or completed Tertiary qualification in an allied health-related field (e.g., occupational therapy, psychology, behavioural sciences).
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to produce high-quality written reports.
- WWC Check or Blue Card
- Police Check
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
Requirements for independent contractors.
- ABN (Australian Business Number),
- Public Liability and Indemnity Insurance.
- Personal laptop and phone.
Desired Skills.
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Previous experience providing evidence-based behaviour support services in the disability services sector.
- Understanding of restrictive practice legislation and the authorisation process.
